Fantine and Cosette were rescued by another agency and transferred to MHS. The girls have been in care for bout 1 year. When they were found- they were extremely skinny- were covered in a filthy oil-like substance and had tar burned into their paw pads. They were at the vet clinic for an entire month to help address their health issues. They were then put into foster where they have gained weight and are living their best life!

Cosette is an energetic, talkative and extremely affectionate girl who loves to play with her human any chance she can get. You can have a full conversation with her as she always has something to say. She is super curious and wants to be involved in what you are doing, no matter what it is. She is quick to assist with unpacking the groceries, filling up the bathtub or making you laugh on the bad days by being the silly girl she is. She loves to lay on your chest during movie nights and always chooses to be next to you, while purring away. Cosette has the sweetest personality and has so much love to give.

Fantine is a sweet, quirky and independent girl (at first), who loves having her belly rubbed. She shows her trust and affection by frequently lounging on her back, completely at ease and showing just how comfortable she feels. It’s her adorable way of saying, “I trust you!”. Fantine is quieter than her sister, but when she does talk, she has the softest and sweetest voice. She can entertain herself for hours playing with her favourite spring toys, and once she’s tired herself out, she loves laying next to her human for cuddles. She enjoys lounging on her cat tree and watching the birds through the window. Fantine takes more time to show her true personality, but once you fully earn her trust, she will be your best friend.

These girls are two of the most well-behaved cats that I have known, making fostering them an absolute pleasure. Together, they are the sweetest duo who have brought nothing but love and happiness into my life.  ”
