Each one is a magnificent individual, deserving of a loving forever home. Tabby
Adult - Female - Friendly
Tabby is a stunningly beautiful girl, and her endearing nature goes beyond her appearance. Her love and gentleness shine through as she wholeheartedly enjoys cuddling and playing with her foster mom. This affectionate feline extends her friendly demeanor to the other kitties in her home, creating a harmonious and joyful atmosphere.
Tanner
Male - Neutered – Labrador Retriever Mix Breed
Tanner is a very good boy who makes friends easily! He has had training, so he does well out on walks and follows basic commands. He is very smart and learns quickly. What Tanner needs most is a forever home. His perfect home would be with someone with some experience with dogs. We recommend he be the sole pet in the home. Tanner is healthy and happy and loves praise and treats! We are looking for a Foster to Adopt home for Tanner.
Warrior
Adult - Male - Affectionate
Warrior was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He was found with a broken jaw. He received surgery to repair it and once he was healed- he came to Canada. Warrior is a very loving cat who enjoys playing and being pet. He loves following you around and purrs all the time. He dislikes loud noises and startles easily. He eats from a tilted bowl so that he can reach his food easily. Warrior would do best in a home with no small children or other animals.
Heathcliffe
Adult - Male - Friendly/Gentle - FIV+
Heathcliffe arrived from Texas in early November- where he was scheduled to be euthanized. Heathhcliffe is in an amazing foster home where he enjoys lots of attention. Heathcliffe is a sweet and gentle boy. He is extremely friendly and loves pets and hugs.
Stormy
Adult - Male - Shy/Sweet - FIV+
Stormy is a large, sweet, funny, and yet a very shy cat! He loves pets and is vocal, especially in the mornings, when he’s also the most energetic- playing with his toys. The afternoon is his quiet time for his long afternoon naps in his much-loved cat bed. He’s not one to seek out cuddles on his own but he can be convinced, with some treats. Once he’s close to you and comfortable- he’s a purring happy boy (he’s more easily convinced in the evening time).
Sebastian & Bach
Adult - Male Bonded Duo - Domestic Short-hair
Sebastian and Bach, two bonded brothers from Texas, arrived in Canada in September and are highly adoptable. Despite their different personalities, they both enjoy spending time with their foster dad while he works and love to snuggle with their foster family. Adoption for this inseparable pair is required.
Luna
This sweet girl enjoys her feline brothers and loves to be kissed and pet by her foster mom; she'll even roll onto her side for belly rubs! She's very curious in the kitchen around mealtime. Although she doesn't ask for food, she's very happy to be fed. Luna had her first and only litter of kittens in the spring of 2023 and has since been spayed. She is estimated to be 1.5 years old and would do best in a quiet home that may/may not have a male cat. She is sleep trained (doesn't wake you up in the morning for food) and is currently on veterinary prescribed food to ensure urinary health.
Beans aka Binx
This little kitten is super social with his feline and canine siblings. He also likes to cozy up for some TV or quiet time with his foster mom. Although he hasn't quite figured out catnip yet, he loves to jump when his toy wand is flying through the air. Binx was born in late March 2023 and has since been neutered. He is sleep trained (doesn't wake you up in the morning for food) and is currently eating veterinarian prescribed food as his digestive system is still developing. He would do best in an active home.
Pussbond
Pussbond is a wonderful kitty that will make the perfect new addition to your family! After weathering the elements as a young mother, she is more than ready to live a life of domesticity with loving humans and a cat friend. When she was first rescued, Pussbond took on her role as a mother with dedication and strength. She propelled her kittens to grow into curious, loving cats as they all found their forever families. Now, it's her turn. Her foster family and cat friends all helped Pussbond come out of her shell and become curious, gentle, and playful. During the day, she can be found napping in her favorite spot, following her foster brother around, or bird-watching with her foster sister. Although she is a little unsure of human interaction, she is now comfortable with gentle pets and licking treats off of your hand. Pussbond will do well in a quiet home with another cat(s), where she can enjoy their company while she gets used to humans. With time, patience, and love, Pussbond will become an affectionate cat who enjoys human interaction! Adopt Pussbond today!

Baby Bear is extremely sweet and outgoing. He was rescued from the streets- sick and emaciated. He is now enjoying life in his foster home - where he is well fed and loved.
Misty & Milo
Female & Male · Kittens Approaching Adulthood
Misty and Milo are bonded siblings: sweet, beautiful, and playful. Milo has a heart murmur and requires further care. Misty is by his side — protecting and loving him. Their foster mom protects and loves them both!
Bella & Sheba
Adult · Female · Bonded Sisters
Bella and Sheba are bonded sisters who were found in a carrier in a parking lot. Sheba is the shorthair outgoing sister and Bella is the long-haired beauty who is a bit shy.
Gary
Male · Adult · FIV+
Gary is a beautiful fluffy tabby. He is playful and curious. While he is timid, he is interested in interacting with people and will come up to you if he wants something (food or play). Gary likes chasing the laser pointer and playing with small fuzzy mouse toys. This gorgeous boy is FIV positive. He came to us from the streets, clearly with a tough past which explains how he got infected with FIV. Gary is extremely shy with new people and needs a home with adults only.

Wyatt and Faith are a bonded pair. Wyatt, Faith, and their five kittens were all trapped together. The kittens all found their forever homes. Wyatt and Faith are extremely shy and are just learning to trust people.
Baby, Kitty, Tammy, Ricky, & Barney

Baby, Kitty, Tammy, Ricky, and Barney were all surrendered to MHS as their elderly owner was in hospital and his family lived out of town. The family had reached out to many other rescues and the city shelter- no one was willing to take in the family because they are all elderly cats. They had all lived with their owner since they were babies- Ricky is 19 years old- the rest of the family are 13-15 years old. Finally- the family and MHS connected, and we brought them into care. They all needed extensive medical before going to their foster homes. They are all well oved and cared for and we are so lucky to have such incredible foster families.

Violet is an extremely sweet and beautiful girl. She has blossomed in her foster home. Violet is FeLV+ and her health is closely monitored.

Wynter and her kitten were trapped during the winter of 2022. She was living in an industrial yard with her kitten. Her kitten found his forever home and Wynter is in foster care. She is a sweet shy girl, just unsure of people. With time, love, and patience, she would do well in a home.

Sean Connery

Sean was brought to MHS in horrific condition. He had been severely attacked by a wild animal or a dog. He had puncture wounds and abscesses all over his body. Sean was in vet care for a long time. His body is healing well and is now in a foster home. He suffers from neurological damage from the attack. He can’t walk straight or stop well when he tries to run — but he is a happy boy. Sean loves pets and hugs so much... and food... he loves food!
