Elinor

MHS volunteers received a call from a concerned couple. There were 3 kitties coming to their house for over a week- they were so very hungry, and it was freezing outside. MHS volunteers worked with the couple and all 3 of the kitties were trapped. It turned out they were a little family: a momma kitty ( about 2 years old)- a big sister ( about 8 months old) and a kitten ( about 10 weeks old). All of the kitties were immediately taken to our partner vet and the females were spayed and vaccinated.

We would like to introduce you to Elinor, Blossom’s mother. Elinor is just a kitten herself, estimated to be approximately 16 months old. She gave birth to her first litter of kittens when she was very young. Blossom is believed to be her only surviving kitten from her first litter.

Then Momma Elinor had a second litter.  She brought her surviving 2 babies to the house to beg for food. It was cold, and they were starving.

If it weren't for the care and compassion of the couple who reached out to MHS, who knows what their fate might be, right now?

Elinor is safe and warm (and spayed) with Blossom (also spayed).

Her youngest kitten has been adopted.

With time, love and patience, Elinor is learning to trust humans.
