Vanaja’s Pet Portraits
An artist with an adventurous spirit, Vanaja found art when her children became teenagers and she started taking painting classes. Overcoming a debilitating accident that caused the loss of dexterity in her hands, she turned to drawing as a part of her physio. Overcoming challenge after challenge she's become an accomplished artist exhibiting in art competitions and shows, won awards for her work and continues to advocate for the arts through her participation in several art organizations including The Art Guild of Scarborough as the Exhibition Chair and Arts on the Credit, Mississauga. Her art is a mix of portraits, landscapes and abstracts that she finds both challenging and rewarding. Her pet portraits for charity are one of the ways she uses art to give back.
Pet Portraits for Charity
Pet Commissions (for MHS or any animal welfare charity of your choice)
Size & Fee (Acrylic or Oil):
8”x10” standard canvas - $225.009”x12” standard canvas - $265.00
12”x16” standard canvas – $350.00
16”x20” larger canvas/full body – $400.00
Donation: 10% to MHS or a pet charity of your choice) for “Furry Pet Portrait” commissions
Payment: Once an agreement is reached, a 50% deposit will be required via PayPal or E-transfer to secure a spot on my list of paintings to-do. Balance 50% is due via PayPal or E-transfer once you are totally satisfied with it, and have approved it. Once dry/varnished, you may pick it up, or it can be shipped (shipping is not included for commissions).
