INDIANNA
One afternoon in the fall of 2021, our neighbour told us she thought she saw some kittens in her backyard. The next day, they were in my backyard.
I was so worried about this as to how they would survive when winter came, I started to feed them and planned to take them all in, with mom too. The three kittens and their mother would come every day for weeks. Slowly, I got the kittens to come into the house. The mother never came in but let her young ones come.
One was very skittish, but two were not. Then one kitten disappeared, but the mother and the other two still came. Eventually, the remaining two would come into the house every morning, play with each other, have a nice sleep, then mom would come back, about 3 o’clock every day to get them from their kitty daycare.
The day I decided I would keep them inside, as they seemed to have finished weaning, the next morning, there was only only one kitten at my back door, the mother and the other kitten were gone. The one kitten is my Indianna, my adventurer. She is so good natured and docile. She is a big girl, but a gentle giant. She is truly a gift from heaven.
