Our Pack:
We have always been an “animal family” and had been without a furry companion for 2 years. Our first 2 fur babies were rescues, and just the most lovable pets. We knew we were ready, so we reached out to MHS.

Sterling: It had been 2 years since we lost our last rescue, and we were ready to open our hearts again. We reached out to MHS during Covid, not knowing if it was possible. After speaking with them, they thought they had the perfect match for our family. Sterling came to us after fighting an uphill battle to survive. He was a small little guy, who was ready for all the love we had to give. He immediately found his place in our hearts and home. MHS was beyond supportive of all our questions and needs as Sterling continued to heal! He is a quirky, happy and very well loved man of the house! He is the oldest of 3 pets in our home now, and has bonded with Charlie our other MHS rescue.

Griffey: We didn’t quite feel complete, we have always been a dog and cat family. Along came Griffey, our oversized bear of a dog! He immediately found friendship with Sterling and Charlie. Griffey loves to play and despite his size, he adores his feline brothers. Three is definitely not a crowd for our pack. Griffey and Charlie share a special bond that involves play time and mischief! Griffey helps keep Charlie’s “bengal” type energy satisfied and they never tire of each other!

Our home is full of love for our animal friends! MHS has been monumental in creating a home that is full of life and love for our four legged friends! Rescuing has always been near and dear to us, and we are so thankful to have found MHS. Thank you to all the volunteers to help those pets that are looking for a loving home!
