SEVEN KITTIES FROM TEXAS

Meet the group of cats we were able to take in from a Texas shelter.
These are the first photos we got at the time of their arrival.

Last month, a call was put out among rescue directors seeking space for cats coming up from a Texas shelter who were at risk of euthanasia due to over crowding. This was a great collaboration between multiple rescues across the GTA, and we were happy to be able to help by providing space.

MHS agreed to take in 7 cats, and we were added to the list to pick up when the truck arrived in Canada. All of them were brought to our vet, with what we had assumed would be a quick check before heading into foster care. Unfortunately, all of them were in rougher shape than we hoped with dental issues, some requiring cleanings and some surgeries; many had fleas and ear mites that needed treatment.

While it was a bigger undertaking them we initially assumed, its been a wonderful to provide them all with loving homes, and full bellies, and provide the best care we could for each of them.

UPDATE JAN 2023 - We have gotten half of our Texan cats adopted! We are excited to share their updated photos from their forever homes, and updated photos as each of them have grown in their foster homes!

SCAMPER
Scamper's story ended shortly after she arrived. She was much older then was recorded and our vet suspected cancer.
She arrived in her foster home and received love, as much food as she wanted, and was cared for in her last few months with us.
